The funding, led by Greenfield Capital, has propelled Arcium's total capital raised to an impressive $9 million, indicating strong support for its innovative approach to data security and privacy.

Participating in this strategic round are industry giants such as Coinbase, Heartcore Capital, Longhash VC, L2 Iterative Ventures, Staking Facilities, Smape Capital, and Everstake, alongside notable angel investors Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, and Keone Han, co-founder of Monad.

Arcium's mission revolves around offering developers and blockchain applications a trust-minimized and configurable framework for encrypted computations. Founded by a team of seasoned professionals including Yannik Schrade, Julian Deschler, Nicolas Schapeler, and Lukas Steiner, the project builds upon the success of Elusiv, a zero-knowledge privacy protocol based on Solana. With a strategic pivot, Arcium now focuses on providing a verifiable encrypted computation protocol tailored to decentralized applications across various sectors such as DeFi, DePIN, and RWAs.

Confidential computing, a cutting-edge security technique, aims to safeguard data throughout the entire processing lifecycle. Unlike traditional encryption methods, which protect data only at rest or in transit, confidential computing ensures data remains encrypted during computation, offering enhanced security and privacy. Arcium's technology leverages multi-party execution environments (MXEs), which combine multiple cryptographic techniques such as multi-party computation, homomorphic encryption, and zero-knowledge proofs to enable secure and distributed computation involving multiple entities simultaneously.
