Global cryptocurrency trading leader Binance recently reached a significant milestone in its user base, announcing that it now boasts over 200 million international users. This achievement positions Binance as the first cryptocurrency exchange to achieve such a vast following, representing more than a third of cryptocurrency holders worldwide.

This milestone marks a remarkable ascent for Binance, which has seen rapid growth in its user numbers over the past two years. From approximately 130 million users in 2022, the platform added an additional 40 million users in 2023, bringing the total to 170 million. By June 2024, Binance crossed the 200 million mark and aims to reach 300 million users by 2026 if current trends persist.

While these figures are independently reported, Binance has celebrated this achievement across its social media platforms, viewing it as a significant stride towards its goal of reaching a billion users.

According to Triple-A research, the global crypto user base in 2024 has expanded to 562 million, up from 420 million the previous year. This places Binance at the forefront with a substantial 36% share of the global crypto user market.

Beyond user growth, Binance has also set records in user assets, with a total custody volume surpassing $100 billion earlier this year, averaging $500 per user. Despite previous legal challenges, including founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao's legal issues related to fraud charges, Binance has continued to grow its capital and user base steadily.
