The United States currently dominates the global Bitcoin ATM market, hosting almost 83% of the world's crypto ATMs. While other operators are present, Bitcoin Depot and its competitors continue to compete for market share, with Coinflip and Bitstop trailing behind in terms of installations.

The recent approval of spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) in the United States has sparked discussions about potential threats to the Bitcoin ATM business model. However, Bitcoin Depot's CEO, Brandon Mintz, views ETFs as serving a different demographic. The primary customer base of Bitcoin Depot consists of individuals who primarily transact in cash, often due to being underbanked or unbanked. These customers are less inclined to possess brokerage accounts and may not align with the target audience for ETFs.
