The 200-day simple moving average (SMA) for Bitcoin has soared to an all-time high of $50,178, pointing towards a positive long-term outlook for the cryptocurrency. This crucial technical indicator smooths out short-term price fluctuations by averaging Bitcoin's closing prices over the last 200 days, providing traders and analysts with an indication of the long-term trend in the market. Traders typically view Bitcoin trading above this indicator as a sign of an extended upward trend.

Pompliano highlighted the significance of Bitcoin's 200-day SMA surpassing $50,000 for the first time, emphasizing that despite the daily price volatility, the overall long-term trajectory remains positive. He urged caution against being misled by Bitcoin's temporary sideways movements, reaffirming the strength of its extended trend. Moreover, Pompliano mentioned the substantial entries into Grayscale's spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) on May 3, following a notable shift from a trust to an ETF earlier in the year.

Additionally, Willy Woo's price models have confirmed that the 200-week moving average, a more prolonged trend indicator, has also hit an all-time high of over $34,000. This signals a strong and optimistic long-term outlook for Bitcoin compared to the 200-day SMA. Bitcoin's spot prices have consistently outperformed the realized price, which currently stands around $29,000, emphasizing a positive long-term market sentiment.
