Bitget, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 technology company, has appointed Gracy Chen as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective May 2024. She will succeed Sandra Lou, who is leaving to pursue her own entrepreneurial ventures. Gracy Chen is a well-known figure in the crypto industry, with extensive experience in business management, marketing, and investment.

Gracy, a former TV host, has been passionate about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies since 2014. Her interactions with knowledgeable guests like Tim Draper further fueled her interest, leading her to invest in various crypto startups, including Bitkeep, now Bitget Wallet, Asia's largest Web3 multi-chain wallet.

In June 2022, Gracy joined Bitget as its first Managing Director, where she led the company's growth strategies and global expansion. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding Bitget’s user base, partly through partnerships with football star Leo Messi and building a strong global affiliate network, solidifying Bitget’s status as a top-five crypto exchange and Web3 platform.

Gracy also champions diversity and inclusivity in the crypto industry through her leadership in Bitget's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. She launched the #Blockchain4Youth campaign in May 2023 to engage young people with crypto and blockchain technology, partnering with over 50 educational institutions and benefiting more than 6,000 young talents. As a key contributor to the #Blockchain4Her initiative, she advocates for gender diversity and equal opportunities for women in the blockchain sector.

Beyond her work at Bitget, Gracy is an influential voice in the crypto industry, having written over 50 articles for major publications like Forbes and Cointelegraph. She also serves as a judge on the crypto reality TV show "Killer Whales," aimed at discovering promising Web3 projects. Recognized as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum in 2015 and a member of the Forbes Business Council in 2023, Gracy holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
