Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire expressed his highest optimism ever about the future of crypto during his 11-year tenure leading the firm behind the USDC stablecoin. In a detailed social media update, Allaire highlighted the transformative potential of crypto and the significant progress made over the past decade. He emphasized that many people still underestimate the ongoing revolution in digital finance.

Drawing on his experience with internet technology adoption cycles, Allaire predicted that crypto will play a pivotal role in both society and the economy. He compared the current state of crypto to a new layer of internet infrastructure, filling in a critical trust gap that was previously absent.

Allaire pointed out the evolution of public blockchain infrastructure since 2012, noting how what was once considered niche and complex is now recognized as essential and groundbreaking.
