CoreDAO is introducing native staking to Bitcoin through Core Chain. The two main goals are to unlock trapped Bitcoin liquidity, estimated to be around a trillion dollars, and to maximize the utility of BTC tokens by allowing holders to earn yield through staking. Additionally, Bitcoin holders can also earn rewards in CORE tokens.

Core Chain allows users to stake without leaving the network, enhancing Bitcoin's utility and connecting Delegated Proof of Stake and Delegated Proof of Work. Previously, staking BTC required wrapping tokens on other chains like Ethereum, but the new non-custodial staking mechanism enables native earning with rewards in CORE tokens.

Core Chain is supported by 28 validators such as DAO Mining Pool, OKXEarn, and Bitget. The introduction of stCORE provides users with the opportunity to earn rewards using liquid staking tokens without locking assets.

Despite a recent 3.46% drop in CORE value over the last 24 hours, currently priced at $1.97, its value has increased by 247.95% over the past 30 days. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is poised for a bull run ahead of the expected Halving on April 20, 2024, currently trading at $64,621.31, a 5.05% increase in the last day.

Core Chain's collaboration with Valour Asset Management (VAM) has also drawn attention, as VAM has launched an exchange-traded product (ETP) providing exposure to Bitcoin's native yield through CoreDAO. VAM plans to serve as a validator node on Core Blockchain and stake approximately $100 million in BTC.

VAM describes the ETP as introducing a new era for Bitcoin, offering actively yielding investment using Core Chain's block rewards.

CoreDAO's native staking on Core Chain is seen as a significant development, particularly due to the rewards in CORE tokens. While the native crypto is currently down, Bitcoin is trending upwards ahead of the Halving event, often associated with price surges.

Combining Core Chain's momentum with this development, the CORE token may soon reach milestones of $2 and $3.
