As the outflows from GBTC slow down, interest from institutional investors in Bitcoin continues to rise, as indicated by the increasing Coinbase Premium.

Following a week of outflows in March, spot Bitcoin ETFs are regaining strength with positive inflows. The outflows from Grayscale Bitcoin ETF GBTC have been decreasing, with daily outflows falling below $100 million for two consecutive days as of Wednesday, April 3.

On April 3, total outflows from GBTC dropped to $75 million, the lowest since February 26. Blackrock’s IBIT ETF made a $42 million purchase on that day, continuing its consistent buying behavior, while FBTC recorded a significant $117 million purchase, its highest since March 26. Total inflows across all Bitcoin ETFs amounted to $113 million.

The growing institutional interest in Bitcoin is evident, with the futures market suggesting potential volatility ahead. The increasing Coinbase Premium indicates heightened Bitcoin purchases by US institutions, emphasizing robust institutional involvement amid inflows into US Bitcoin ETFs.

Additionally, the movement of significant amounts of Bitcoin off exchanges suggests institutions may be transferring holdings to private wallets or cold storage, potentially leading to a supply shock.

CryptoQuant reports positive bitcoin futures funding rates, indicating bullish sentiment that historically precedes price corrections, potentially presenting a buying opportunity.

With positive institutional activity surrounding BTC, there is a high likelihood of a Bitcoin price rally following a recent healthy correction, and the Bitcoin halving event this month may further contribute to a potential surge in BTC price.
