The Xumm development team has recently made improvements to the Xahau signing process, making it more user-friendly and efficient for XRP Ledger users. WietseWind, a developer, collaborated with Denis Angell to upgrade the smart contract-enabled Xahau signing. WietseWind focused on client integration, while Denis worked on the Ledger firmware. This update will enhance the flow of XRPL native transactions to the Ledger hardware wallet.

Additionally, the Xumm developers aim to introduce Automated Market Maker (AMM) and other amendments to the Ledger. This move is expected to further improve the XRPL ecosystem, following the recent announcement of the XRP smart contract sidechain, Xahau Ledger, by XRPL Labs.

The Xahau Sidechain underwent a comprehensive audit by FYEO, one of Xahau's initial Governance Game Validator Seats and Security partners, from October 01 to October 27, 2023. The audit aimed to assess the security exposure of Xahau Sidechain, identify internal risks, and provide professional opinions on the maturity and adequacy of security measures. The process also aimed to identify issues and share recommendations for improvement.

Despite concerns from the XRP community that the launch of the Xahau Sidechain could distract XRP developers and lead to project abandonment, the Xumm team remains committed to introducing new features and amendments. The REMIT amendment, which includes a novel payment transactor for XRPL-like networks, is one of the recent additions to the Xahau Sidechain.
