After receiving approval for Ethereum spot ETFs, potential issuers are awaiting their products' trading debuts, sparking speculation about the final approval dates. Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas has predicted that these ETFs might start trading by July 2, 2024.

Balchunas suggested this date based on the SEC's recent feedback to issuers on June 14, noting that the comments were minor and should be addressed within a week. The SEC has approved 19b-4 forms for eight issuers, including BlackRock, Fidelity, VanEck, and Franklin Templeton, and must also approve the S-1 forms for the ETFs to launch.

In his post on X, Balchunas mentioned there is a good chance the SEC will declare the forms effective before the holiday weekend.

SEC Chair Gary Gensler recently indicated to senators that final approvals for Ethereum spot ETFs should be completed by summer. The launch is expected to attract significant capital into Ethereum and the broader market.

On-chain data shows rising demand for Ethereum from permanent investors, who are less likely to be swayed by market volatility. On June 12, these investors acquired 298,000 BTC, likely positioning themselves ahead of the ETFs' launch.
