Precisely 75.36 BTC left the ChinaAMC Bitcoin ETF on Monday, marking the first outflows for Hong Kong's Bitcoin ETFs since their launch on April 30.

The only outflow was from the China Asset Management Bitcoin ETF, while the other Hong Kong-based products did not experience any flows.

Despite the setback, the three Bitcoin ETFs in Hong Kong managed to accumulate $262 million in assets under management (AUM) within their first week of launching. However, the inflows for these ETFs were minimal, totaling less than $14 million during the initial week.

Contrary to the lackluster performance of the Hong Kong spot ETFs, Bitcoin witnessed significant growth over the weekend, reaching close to $64,000 from below $57,000 the previous week.

Senior Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas cautioned investors not to wewanticipate high figures in Hong Kong compared to the U.S. market. While the $310 million AUM for Hong Kong ETFs may seem small, it is equivalent to $50 billion in the U.S. market, making them substantial in their local market.

A recent study by crypto exchange OSL revealed that nearly 80% of crypto-savvy investors in Hong Kong are interested in investing in the new spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. However, mainland Chinese investors are currently unable to access these assets unless they also hold Hong Kong residency, potentially resulting in lower transaction volumes compared to the United States.
