Aiming to revolutionize blockchain gaming, GGEM, a new Web3 gaming platform, has launched a groundbreaking solution that allows players to dive into Web3 games without needing a crypto wallet. This initiative is part of a broader effort to seamlessly onboard players into the world of Web3 and make blockchain gaming more accessible to the masses.

GameFi, which combines gaming with decentralized finance (DeFi), remains a largely untapped market within the blockchain sector. Despite the promise it holds, more than half of adults are unaware of its existence, and the sector is plagued by inadequate game economies focused on short-term gains rather than sustainable value. On the development side, the lack of scalable, low-cost blockchains capable of supporting large user bases and the absence of supportive game studios further impede the growth of advanced Web3 games.

Unlike traditional games, the success of blockchain-based games relies heavily on building a strong community that not only serves as the user base but also participates actively in development and marketing in a decentralized manner. However, attracting blockchain-savvy users can be a challenge for new games. GGEM aims to bridge this gap by helping Web3 games launch and onboard Web2 players, offering tools and services that facilitate game launches and reach a pre-established audience through its advanced platform features.

After several years of development, GGEM went live in March with a core build. The platform already hosts numerous simple RPG, strategy, MMORPG, and free-to-play games that attract both crypto-native and non-crypto users. These games can be played instantly without the need for installation, making the platform highly accessible even to those unfamiliar with blockchain technology.

GGEM’s user-friendly design ensures a seamless experience for players. Users can start playing games without choosing between different blockchain networks or connecting a Web3 wallet. They simply log into their accounts and begin playing. The platform's integrated system synchronizes progress across all games, automatically updates games in the background, and stores in-game assets in personal GGEM wallets. These assets, represented as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), can be purchased using either cryptocurrency or fiat currency and traded externally.

In addition to the traditional play-to-earn model, GGEM introduces a challenge-to-earn system that incentivizes players further. Users can earn tokens and NFTs by participating in various challenges, tournaments, and events. The amount of GGEM tokens in a user’s wallet determines their status on the platform, with higher statuses receiving proportional bonuses.

GGEM also allows for the creation of in-game quests, enhancing the gameplay experience. Players completing daily quests, such as defeating a specific number of monsters, can earn additional GGEM tokens, which are delivered directly to their in-house wallets.

Beyond gaming, GGEM serves as an educational resource. Targeting traditional gamers, GGEM Academy provides a wealth of articles and tutorials on Web3 gaming, helping users understand blockchain gaming and transition smoothly into the space. The Learn-to-earn Gaming Program complements this by rewarding users for completing educational online tests.

The platform offers consultancy services tailored to the needs of both developers and players, providing customized solutions to enhance their gaming and development experiences.

Since its MVP launch, GGEM has closed its pre-seed funding round, completed the development of all Web2 components, and forged partnerships with prominent gaming companies, including Brinc, Age of Mars, Rage Effect, and AlterVerse. The platform is currently developing a software development kit (SDK) for game developers that will synchronize with the launcher. An in-game store, scheduled for launch in the third quarter, will allow players to rent assets, reducing the cost of blockchain gaming. The GGEM token is also set to launch around the same time.
