Five months after transitioning from Testnet to Mainnet, BNB Greenfield has opened its decentralized data storage network to the public, reinforcing its commitment to revolutionizing Web3 data ownership and ensuring user control and security over digital information.

A major update includes the overhaul of BEP-361, which now allows for easier identity verification across decentralized applications (dApps). Previously a cumbersome process, users can now verify their identities with a single signature, benefiting users of digital wallets like MetaMask and Trust Wallet by providing a more streamlined experience.

Additionally, BEP-364 introduces a simplified approach to data upload and management. Instead of navigating complex steps involving direct blockchain interactions, users can now utilize a primary storage provider as an intermediary. This reduces the number of steps required, making it easier and faster for users to manage their data.
