Phase III, “Mainnet,” began in December 2021 with the “Enclosed Mainnet,” where the network is live but isolated, allowing Pioneers to undergo KYC and migrate their Pi to the live Mainnet blockchain while the community builds apps and utilities. The transition to “Open Mainnet” will occur depending on the maturity of the Enclosed Network ecosystem and the progress of the network’s KYC, removing the firewall and allowing external connectivity to the Pi Mainnet.
