Michael Saylor, a prominent Bitcoin enthusiast, has offered a crucial piece of advice to those who invest in the leading cryptocurrency: never sell. This advice comes at a time when the Bitcoin price has experienced a significant drop.

Saylor, the co-founder of MicroStrategy, delivered this message during his speech at the recent BTC Prague event. He likened Bitcoin to energy and life, emphasizing the importance of conserving it. "Don't let the fire go out. When the fire is what keeps your family from freezing, do not let the fire go. Don't throw yourself off a cliff," he urged.

The Bitcoin maximalist argued against diversification, stating that "everything else" is inferior compared to the leading cryptocurrency. "Every time you sold it, you gave up the best-performing asset in the world to buy what? Diversification is selling the winner to buy the losers…You only need one chair. You do not sell your Bitcoin," he stressed.

Saylor believes that "the entire world" is designed to convince Bitcoiners to sell their holdings, as everyone wants to trade their Bitcoin for their own investments. "Everybody wants to trade your Bitcoin for their hedge fund, for their stock, for their idea, for their whatever it is, and you just have to keep in mind that…no one is getting rich by telling you not to give them your money," he noted.

Despite the recent price drop, MicroStrategy, the company Saylor co-founded, has announced a $500 million debt sale to increase its Bitcoin holdings. This figure was later increased to a staggering $700 million, showcasing the company's unwavering commitment to the cryptocurrency.

While some naysayers, such as gold bug Peter Schiff and banking giant JPMorgan, have criticized MicroStrategy's aggressive leveraged buying, Saylor remains steadfast in his belief that Bitcoin is the best-performing asset in the world and that investors should never sell their holdings.
