Meanwhile, Ethereum ETFs saw no new investments, following a previous day's withdrawal of 62.8 ETH. The total assets under management for Hong Kong's Bitcoin ETFs amounted to $254.74 million, contrasting with Ethereum's $50.83 million, indicating a higher preference for Bitcoin despite recent outflows.

Conversely, the United States reported a positive trend with Bitcoin ETFs. Eleven US-based Bitcoin ETFs attracted $107.91 million in inflows on May 23, marking the ninth consecutive day of investor interest. This ongoing trend suggests growing confidence and investment appeal in Bitcoin ETFs among American investors.

In a regulatory move on the same day, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved 19b-4 forms for eight Ethereum ETFs. This decision hints at a potential shift in regulatory attitudes towards cryptocurrency investments, potentially boosting confidence and interest in Ethereum ETFs within the US market.

Justin d’Anethan, APAC head of business development at Keyrock, commented on Hong Kong's ETF market dynamics. He highlighted that Ethereum ETFs represent about 15% of total local ETF assets under management, with Bitcoin dominating the remaining share. D’Anethan suggested that the lack of Ethereum staking capabilities in these funds might impact their attractiveness as investments.

In terms of current market prices, Bitcoin trades at $67,254, reflecting a 3% decrease over the last 24 hours, while Ethereum stands at $3,746, with a slight 0.51% decline.
