The Libertarian Party's platform advocates for individual choice and voluntary exchange, principles that resonate with many cryptocurrency enthusiasts. However, Oliver's position on digital assets remains unclear, as there is little public record of his views on cryptocurrencies.

Notably, Oliver has voiced support for the release of Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, who is serving a life sentence for his involvement with the online marketplace. Additionally, Oliver has called for the nomination of Mike ter Maat as his running mate, who shares anti-central bank digital currency (CBDC) sentiments and advocates for unregulated cryptocurrency.

Despite being the third-largest political party in the United States, the Libertarian Party has historically struggled to gain significant electoral traction. In the 2016 presidential election, the party garnered only around 3% of the popular vote. However, with the Electoral College system, third-party candidates like Oliver could influence the outcome by drawing votes away from major party nominees.
