Nibiru's $15 million developer fund will be allocated to support innovative projects within the ecosystem through token grants. Approximately 2.5% of the platform's native cryptocurrency, NIBI, will be distributed among selected projects. To foster diversity and inclusivity, a significant portion of $5 million is earmarked for projects originating from the Asia Pacific region, reflecting Nibiru's global outreach.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to apply for the grant via the protocol's official website, with selected projects standing to receive grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 in NIBI.

Beyond financial assistance, qualified projects will benefit from mentorship opportunities provided by Nibiru's venture capital partners, including Tribe Capital, NGC Ventures, and ArkStream. Erick Pinos, an executive at Nibiru, emphasizes the initiative's holistic approach, which encompasses ongoing support, mentorship, and dedicated marketing assistance to elevate the visibility of ecosystem projects.

Additionally, Nibiru announces plans to host regular hackathons, featuring substantial prize pools of up to $100,000, aimed at spurring innovation across various decentralized finance (DeFi) sectors. These hackathons will focus on areas such as tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs), Web3 gaming (GameFi), and SocialFi, fostering creativity and exploration in decentralized application development.

In a bid to incentivize developers further, Nibiru introduces a unique reward mechanism, allowing developers to earn a share of transaction fees whenever their smart contracts are executed. Furthermore, the platform intends to delve into the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), granting holders early access to forthcoming decentralized applications (dApps) within the Nibiru ecosystem.
