OKX, a leader in Web3 technology, is set to sponsor key events during India Blockchain Week (IBW) in December at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield, Bangalore. As part of this week-long event, OKX will back Polygon Connect and ETH India, while also co-hosting two developer mixers. IBW serves as India’s premier series of Web3 and blockchain gatherings, aiming to bring together influential figures in the industry to showcase the latest advancements in Web3.

Ankit Bhatia, Director of Product (Web3) at OKX, is slated to deliver the keynote address at Polygon Connect, focusing on OKX’s Web3 solutions, particularly X1, the exchange’s advanced and secure ZK Layer-2 network built upon Ethereum. Bhatia will also participate in a panel discussion titled ‘Abstracting the Essence of Web3’.

Furthermore, OKX will organize its own hackathon at the KTPO Convention Centre, Whitefield, during ETH India to promote the development of its X1 zkEVM Layer 2 network. The top project concept involving X1 will receive a prize of $5,000 USD. Additionally, attendees at OKX’s booth who mint a free NFT via the OKX NFT Marketplace stand a chance to receive exclusive OKX-branded items like cricket balls.

Throughout IBW, OKX will run a giveaway for Indian users who follow OKX India’s X, download OKX Wallet, and fund their wallet with crypto, with a prize pool of 2,000 MATIC tokens available at blockchain events. Furthermore, Thomas Chou, OKX’s Head of Product Marketing (Web3), will participate in an IBW panel discussion on December 7, sharing insights on Web3 product innovation techniques.

Additionally, OKX launched a cricket-themed ad campaign, ‘Be a Crypto Player’, to establish itself as a major player in Web3 in India, coinciding with the CWC final match between Australia and India in Ahmedabad. The campaign, available in both Hindi and English, aligns with the release of Hindi functionality to OKX’s Web3 wallet.
