Omni launches the first phase of its mainnet, dubbed Omni Armageddon, which introduces a secure interoperability service aimed at fostering unity within the rollup space. This marks a significant milestone for the company, reflecting the extensive effort invested over a considerable period.

Through Omni Armageddon, all users are empowered to actively participate in leveraging the network. This capability is made possible by restaking on EigenLayer, enabling users to restake various assets, including ETH and liquid staking tokens. By reallocating restaked assets to support Omni, individuals contribute to the creation of a secure and interconnected ecosystem.

To allocate assets to Omni, users need to possess restaked assets on EigenLayer and initiate restaking by depositing the eligible asset. Subsequently, users proceed to the Omni AVS page to select an operator for asset allocation.

Despite Ethereum's status as the safest and most decentralized smart contract layer, its fragmented rollup space has resulted in disappointing user exposure and fragmented liquidity. Omni aims to reunify Ethereum by providing a foundation for builders to develop global applications that seamlessly operate across all rollups. Omni restores utility to Ethereum through a unified and secure service, eliminating the need for users to utilize separate rollups for different applications.
