Polimec, Polkadot's pioneering decentralized community-driven funding parachain, has officially launched, marking a significant milestone in Web3 project fundraising. According to a May 20 statement to CryptoSlate, Polimec is gearing up for its inaugural project evaluation, ushering in a new era of transparency, accessibility, and regulatory compliance in decentralized fundraising.

Polimec aims to revolutionize how Web3 projects secure funding by emphasizing community involvement and stringent regulatory adherence. Stakeholders are optimistic that this platform will set new standards in the Web3 funding landscape.

The first project to undergo evaluation on Polimec is Apillon, a Web3 infrastructure platform tailored for developers within the Polkadot ecosystem. Apillon offers essential services such as decentralized file storage and hosting. To participate in the evaluation, users must obtain a Deloitte-powered KYC Credential, which grants access to the Data Room where they can review detailed funding information before committing their Polimec tokens (PLMC) to the project.

The evaluation process is designed to be thorough, spanning 28 days to allow users ample time to conduct due diligence. Participants can scrutinize the project's white paper, team credentials, and tokenomics. Indicating interest by bonding PLMC tokens signifies support for the project. If the project secures at least 10% of its funding target, it advances to the next round. The bonded tokens remain locked until the conclusion of the funding round or if the round is canceled.
