Hydration has secured a substantial allocation of 2 million DOT tokens from the Polkadot treasury, valued at approximately $14.4 million. This injection of funds is poised to catalyze the growth and efficiency of Hydration's revolutionary single-sided liquidity provisioning platform, Omnipool.

The allocation of DOT tokens serves a dual purpose. One million DOT will be strategically deployed over the course of a year to incentivize fresh liquidity inflows into the Polkadot ecosystem. Liquidity Providers (LPs) stand to benefit from initial rewards exceeding the 200% APY threshold. Leveraging the innovative single-sided LP structure of the Hydration Omnipool, users can earn rewards simply by providing a single asset and participating in incentives farms. Assets incentivized include native stablecoins, DOT, BTC, and various ecosystem coins.

The remaining one million DOT will be directly infused into the Hydration Omnipool, aiming to fortify the creation of a robust, accessible layer of native liquidity to bolster the broader Polkadot 2.0 ecosystem over time (Treasury Proposal #730). This injection supplements the existing liquidity, with over 690k+ DOT and 560k+ vDOT already locked into the Hydration Omnipool.
