Polyhedra Network, the creator of the zero-knowledge protocol zkBridge, announced that it will use the ticker "ZKJ" for its listing on HashKey Global and other exchanges. This change follows a week-long dispute with zkSync over the original "ZK" ticker. Polyhedra explained that "ZKJ" stands for "ZK Join," representing a united ZK community.

Polyhedra, Polygon, and StarkWare released a joint statement emphasizing that "ZK" should remain a public resource, not a corporate trademark. They urged Matter Labs to withdraw its trademark applications and use of the "ZK" ticker.

The Block previously reported that zkSync aimed to use "ZK" for its token launch, but encountered issues since Polyhedra had already claimed it. Bybit later adjusted Polyhedra’s ticker and listed zkSync under "ZK." Polyhedra criticized zkSync’s choice publicly, expressing frustration over the dispute.
