Zero zkEVM is constructed on the foundation of RISC Zero zkVM and Bonsai, incorporating elements from reth and revm. Notable features of Zero zkEVM include enhanced scalability, performance efficiency, and upgradability.

In aiming to provide developers with optimal performance and efficiency, Zero zkEVM plans to reduce per transaction proof costs, with estimates suggesting costs of less than a single cent. Additionally, the platform boasts the efficiency of completing Ethereum Blocks in under 12 minutes, significantly reducing processing time compared to previous standards.

An unveiled feature of the launch is the democratization of zkEVM, offering convenience for developers opting to build on Zeth. Potential projects expected to emerge include light clients, zk rollups, bridges, and zkEVMs, leveraging the open-source solution to generate zk proofs for Ethereum blocks and EVM.

Zero integration into protocols is anticipated to occur at a faster pace than previously possible, potentially reducing integration timelines from years to weeks, contingent upon project size, complexities, and developer capabilities. This progression may culminate in the establishment of PoC to enable full synchronization with Ethereum Layer1 functionality post-verification of STARK proof, a process referred to as "The Verge" by Vitalik Buterin.

Zeth, classified as a Type zero zkEVM, stands out for its ability to prove all facets of Ethereum, including EVM opcode and EIPs for network block construction.
