The Real Yield ETH vault from Sommelier has entered Arbitrum, marking its first foray into multichain exploration. This shift follows reports of retail investors moving away from the high gas fees of the Ethereum mainnet. Sommelier Finance brings a one-click yield vault option to Arbitrum approximately 8–9 months after announcing the plan to do so.

Initially, the vaults, known as Cellars, will be hosted on the Ethereum mainnet. Zaki Manian, co-founder of Sommelier, noted that nearly two years of research preceded the transition. Manian is confident that this development will offer users an improved experience, particularly on a native L2.

Arbitrum was chosen due to its relatively lower risk compared to other available options in the market. Sun Raghupathi, CEO of Sommelier Finance, mentioned that Arbitrum provides a unique risk perspective in addition to liquidity.

Manian expressed optimism about the future, stating that the infrastructure they've built will lay the groundwork for Ethereum's multichain future expansion. He explained the implementation dynamics, highlighting the ability to establish Arbitrum Cellars and hold positions anywhere.

This isn't the only development for Arbitrum in 2024. It previously integrated Espresso Sequencer’s 4th testnet launch, empowering the Gibraltar testnet with external node operators running the network for the first time. The testnet is now live for Arbitrum developers and publicly available.

Sommelier Vaults have made a significant move after some time, having last launched five new Sommelier Vaults to capture governance token yields, providing users with a means to earn passive income ranging from 2% to 4%. Supported tokens include ENS, 1inch, SNX, LINK, and UNI.

The strategy has been formulated by Seven Seas Capital and DeFine Logic Labs, with Seven Seas Capital leading Sommelier's entry into the Arbitrum ecosystem with Real Yield ETH. The team's expertise lies in financial modeling, data science, and smart contract development, with a focus on leveraging.

Arbitrum's native token, ARB, has experienced a slight increase in the last 24 hours, trading at $2.13, up by 12.63% in the last 7 days but down by 0.665% in the last 30 days. The 24-hour volume and market cap have also seen increases.

Sommelier is now observing how the launch of DeFi strategy vaults unfolds on Arbitrum.
