Pixelverse, the tap-to-earn video game integrated with the Telegram messaging app, has successfully raised $5.5 million to fuel its ongoing expansion and development efforts.

The game, which offers users the opportunity to earn cryptocurrency through gameplay directly within the Telegram platform, announced a diverse group of investors participating in the funding round. Notable backers include Delphi Ventures, Merit Circle, and former Nexon CEO Joonmo (James) Kwon, who currently heads Delabs Games.

Similar to other web3 games accessible via Telegram, such as Hamster Kombat and Notcoin, Pixelverse allows players to engage with the game seamlessly through the widely used messaging app. By consistently playing the game, users can earn cryptocurrency rewards.

Piers Kicks, founding partner at Delphi Ventures, expressed enthusiasm about supporting Pixelverse's growth strategy, emphasizing the game's ability to leverage Telegram's extensive user base for widespread adoption.

In addition to Delphi Ventures, the funding round saw participation from various other investors, including Bitscale Capital, Ghaf Capital, Big Brain Holdings, LiquidX, Foresight Ventures, and Sébastien Borget, founder of The Sandbox.

Pixelverse's successful fundraising underscores the growing interest in blockchain-based gaming and the potential for integrating crypto incentives into mainstream gaming experiences.
