The Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) community has officially sanctioned a significant proposal to decrease the maximum block size to enhance the ecosystem's security by averting peer-to-peer storm incidents.

National Labs CEO, in line with developer Genuine Labs, urged the community to back the block-size reduction proposal after identifying potential risks related to leading blockchains like Cosmos (ATOM), Solana (SOL), and Polkadot (DOT). The proposal garnered overwhelming support from the LUNC community, with a substantial majority voting in favor of this security measure.

By opting to reduce the Maxblocksize from 5MB to 2MB, the Terra Luna community demonstrated a united front in strengthening the network against possible spam attacks. The high level of community engagement was evident in the nearly unanimous backing of the proposal, with an impressive turnout of validators voting in favor of the security enhancement.

On a positive note, both LUNC and USTC, the altcoins under Terra Classic, experienced notable price surges, with LUNC recording a 10% increase to reach $0.0001106, accompanied by a significant surge in trading volume. Similarly, USTC saw a 20% price gain to trade at $0.02015, fueled by favorable ecosystem developments and the broader market recovery, contributing to the recent uptrend in prices for both cryptocurrencies.
