The Ripple Foundation has launched a new initiative aimed at forecasting cryptocurrency trends for 2024. The initiative involves gathering insights from 12 leaders to predict the future of blockchain and crypto over the next 12 months.

The initiative began with Fiona Murray, Ripple’s VP and Managing Director in APAC, stating that Ripple is poised to witness a surge in institutional adoption. She anticipates that numerous financial institutions, particularly in the APAC region, will embrace cryptocurrency by 2024.

Additionally, there will be an increase in the use of cross-border payments among corporations, with major legacy payment institutions and Web2 brands investing in blockchain and integrating it into their services.

Nearly half of finance leaders in APAC foresee blockchain technology significantly impacting businesses within the next three years, according to Murray. She emphasized the recurring theme in the APAC region, noting that more countries are launching regulator-led pilot programs and projects to incorporate blockchain technology. In 2023, Hong Kong and Singapore led the way in adopting blockchain innovation and positioning themselves as global crypto hubs.

With Ripple's recent legal victory against the SEC, the network is poised to set an example for other ventures. Following Fiona Murray, Andrew Whitworth, Ripple's Policy Director in EMEA, will share his crypto predictions for 2024.

Whitworth will kick off the series of predictions, followed by 10 more from other leaders. Given the reputation Ripple and XRP have established in the market, these predictions offer valuable insights for crypto traders. Currently priced at $0.6115, XRP has experienced a 0.27% market growth in the past month, and if the predictions materialize, the coin's value is expected to surpass these levels in the coming days.
