The partnership includes a substantial investment of $20 million from the DFINITY Foundation through the ICP Asia Alliance. The collaboration entails mutual access to resources and a concerted effort to bolster the market presence of ICP in Hong Kong and across Asia, particularly in the realm of Web3 innovation.

Dominic Williams, the founder and chief scientist at DFINITY Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting its alignment with the vision and technical capabilities of the internet computer. He anticipates that the partnership will extend the influence of DFINITY throughout the Asian region and elevate the brand presence and market share of ICP within the blockchain industry.

DFINITY confirmed the partnership development and hinted at forthcoming events and announcements in Hong Kong, underscoring the depth of their strategic collaboration.

Additionally, Web3Labs announced an upcoming event hosted by its subsidiary brand, Satoshi Labs, to celebrate the grand opening of Bitcoin Dev Con. Scheduled for May 7-8, 2024, in Hong Kong Science Park, the event will focus on BTC L2 solutions and offer project pitches with the opportunity to secure investments totaling $5 million.

Meanwhile, DFINITY Labs has teamed up with ICB HUB Balkan to launch ckSOL, a project aimed at enhancing liquidity, utility, and flexibility by bridging Solana and ICP networks for streamlined transfers between SOL and ICP.

Looking ahead, DFINITY will feature prominently at the Web3 Festival, exploring the role of ICP in building a world computer with its full-stack solution, dePIN, and decentralized AI.
