Block chain, as it was initially known, is an expanding collection of documents, or blocks, connected by cryptography.

Every block has transaction data (usually expressed as a Markle tree root hash), a timestamp, and a hash of the preceding block.

A distributed ledger that is publicly accessible to everybody is called a blockchain. Their properties are intriguing. It is exceedingly difficult to alter data once it is recorded inside a blockchain.

So how does a blockchain operate?

Each block has data, a hash, and the previous block's hash when we examine it. Depending on the kind of blockchain, a block may include different types of data.

There's a hash on the block too. It recognises every element in a block. After a block generated and is now being computed.

The Hash will change if something inside the block changes. A chain of blocks is effectively created by the hash of the preceding block. And the blockchain is extremely safe as a result of this method.

Distributing, however, is one other way that blockchain has protected itself. A P2P network that is open to all users is used by blockchain technology in place of a central organisation to govern the chain.

A complete copy of the blockchain is sent to each new member upon their network registration. This allows the node to confirm that everything is in working order.

Observe what occurs when a new block is created. Every user on that network receives that block. Every nod can confirm the block's creation is certain that it hasn't been manipulated.

Every node has this block to their own blockchain if everything checks out. In this network, every node establishes consensus over which blocks are legitimate and which aren't. Other nods on that network will reject blocks that they temper.

The development of blockchain technology has sparked a lot of excitement, and before long, more people will learn about its alternative applications. such as keeping track of medical information, setting up an online notary public, or even filing taxes.
