Zyfi, a gas abstraction layer on zkSync, announced it has successfully raised $2 million in a private funding round. The company, which provides a Paymaster-As-A-Service enabling any tokens to be used as gas, aims to revolutionize the on-chain experience with native account abstraction.

Investors in this round include Everstake Capital, Tenzor Capital, Apvc.capital, Criterionvc, NxGen, Majinx Capital, v3ntures, and Momentum8. The funds will be used to develop software development kits (SDKs) and paymaster solutions for decentralized applications (dApps), enhance utility for governance token holders, and support research on account abstraction across various chains, including EIP-7702 implementation.

Zyfi’s infrastructure has already processed over 815,000 transactions and facilitated gasless flows for more than 110,000 users on zkSync. The company has integrated with major protocols like Zerolend, Increment Fi, PancakeSwap, zkMarkets, and Libera.

Zyfi allows dApps to accept gas payments in any ERC-20 token or sponsor transaction gas costs for users, powered by an API that simplifies protocol complexities and lets developers focus on product innovation.
