1inch Network has embarked on a strategic collaboration with Blockaid, a Web3 security provider, to bolster security measures across its decentralized finance (DeFi) platform. This partnership marks a significant step in enhancing security protocols within the rapidly expanding DeFi ecosystem.

Announced on June 20, the collaboration aims to address pressing challenges such as phishing scams, hacks, and other fraudulent activities that have plagued DeFi platforms. Blockaid’s advanced security features, particularly its capability to simulate transactions before execution, are poised to play a crucial role in fortifying 1inch Network against emerging threats.

The initiative comes in response to the escalating incidence of cyber threats within the DeFi space, with notable instances of substantial crypto asset losses reported earlier in April 2024 due to malicious attacks. By integrating Blockaid’s security solutions, 1inch seeks to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, thereby safeguarding user funds and bolstering trust among participants in the DeFi community.

Enhanced Security Measures and Real-time Alerts

Central to the collaboration is the introduction of the 1inch Shield, a dedicated security solution co-developed with Blockaid. This system is designed to detect and flag scam tokens, providing users with real-time alerts to prevent unauthorized transactions and mitigate financial losses. The 1inch Shield will be seamlessly integrated into the broader DeFi ecosystem, supporting major blockchain networks including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BNB Chain), Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Avalanche.
