EtherFi, a prominent liquid restaking protocol, has expedited its token creation timeline, moving it up by one month. Binance has revealed plans to list the token on March 18, marking a significant development in EtherFi's journey.

Binance recently disclosed that the ETHFI token will be the 49th project featured on its Launchpool platform, with a campaign set to distribute 2% of the token's total supply to users staking Binance's BNB token or the FDUSD stablecoin over a four-day period starting from March 14. The distribution will allocate 80% to BNB stakers and 20% to FDUSD stakers.

Following the Launchpool campaign, Binance will list the ETHFI token on its main exchange on March 18, offering trading pairs against USDT, FDUSD, BTC, BNB, and TRY. Approximately 11.52% of ETHFI's total supply will be in circulation upon listing.

This launch coincides with the conclusion of EtherFi's initial points campaign, rewarding early eETH adopters with points that will entitle them to receive up to 6% of ETHFI's supply through an upcoming airdrop.

EtherFi has emerged as a leading liquid restaking protocol with a total value locked (TVL) of $3 billion, experiencing remarkable growth of over 2,800% since the beginning of 2024, as reported by DeFi Llama.

Liquid restaking protocols like EtherFi provide users with exposure to Ethereum staking rewards and EigenLayer, a pioneering restaking protocol, without necessitating asset lockup. EigenLayer enables users to earn additional yield by validating the Ethereum network and third-party validated services.

With the accelerated roadmap, EtherFi's founder, Mike Silagadze, emphasized the project's commitment to exceeding expectations. Silagadze highlighted the early release of the token and hinted at forthcoming utility and value accrual mechanisms to enhance token functionality.

Additionally, Silagadze teased the upcoming launch of EtherFi Liquid, an automated DeFi strategy vault integrated into EtherFi, offering users a seamless entry into DeFi with enhanced strategies, asset custody, and transparency in a single transaction.
