YouTube investigator Stephen Findeisen, popularly known as “Coffeezilla,” has leveled allegations against Rabbit, an artificial intelligence (AI) company, accusing it of orchestrating a nonfungible token (NFT) scam and attempting to conceal its involvement. Findeisen released a video on May 21 via the Coffeezilla channel, shedding light on Rabbit AI’s engagement with NFTs. He pointed out that the company was formerly known as Cyber Manufacture Co. and had secured $6 million in funding for an NFT initiative named Gama.

However, several years later, Rabbit AI’s founder and CEO, Jesse Lyu, distanced the company from the crypto sphere. Findeisen highlighted Lyu’s statements on Discord, where he asserted that the company had no intention of delving into crypto activities. When approached for comment, Rabbit did not respond to Cointelegraph's inquiries. Lyu clarified that Gama was merely a side project he participated in during the COVID-19 pandemic and stated that he had disassociated himself from the project after it was open-sourced.

While Lyu downplayed Gama as a minor endeavor, Findeisen presented recordings of Lyu outlining their ambitious plans for the NFT venture. In these recordings, Lyu mentioned their substantial investments to elevate Gama into “a next-level experience,” suggesting broader aspirations beyond NFTs. Findeisen raised questions about the utilization of the $6 million funding raised for the Gama project, considering Rabbit's claims that the funds were solely allocated to the NFT initiative.

Despite Rabbit's assertions, Findeisen argued that concerns persist, particularly because the company is built on the remnants of the Gama project. Additionally, he pointed out that Rabbit’s widely publicized R1 product was also subject to overhype. Other observers, including WeGPT founder and CEO Josh Olin, echoed similar sentiments, characterizing Rabbit’s R1 product as an “AI grift” and alleging it to be a scam aimed at swiftly attracting investors for financial gain.
