Animoca Brands, one of the leading investors in the Web3 games, has clinched a partnership deal with Hooked Protocol in a bid to boost mass adoption of Web3 infrastructure among billions of Web2 Internet users.

Animoca announced on May 17 the strategic alliance with Hooked, the so-called “edutainment (education and entertainment)” network aiming at accelerating Web3 mass production. Animoca and Hooked will target the billions of Internet users, who have not yet interacted with Web3 technologies by offering easily accessible Web3 knowledge based on popular content, the statement said.

Hooked, run by the founder and CEO Jason Y, has developed three products: 1) a quiz-to-learn Web3 bootcamp product for elementary learners with more than 3 million monthly users, 2) a livestreaming learn-to-earn product for preparatory learners with 1 million total participants, and 3) a learning product powered by AI with over 100,000 registered learners.

“Collaborating with Animoca presents an exciting opportunity for Hooked to further strengthen our position as a leading Web3 gamified social learning platform and immersive edutainment network,” the Hooked founder said. “We are thrilled to partner with a company that is renowned for creating and delivering exceptional IPs and contents.”

While it invests in Web3 startups using blockchain technologies, Animoca has also developed and published products including original games such as The Sandbox, Phantom Galaxies, Life Beyond, Crazy Kings, and Crazy Defense Heroes.
