Anzen Finance, the pioneering issuer behind the digital dollar USDz, has successfully raised $4 million in seed funding, marking a significant milestone for the firm.

The funding round saw participation from a notable lineup of investors, including Mechanism Capital, Circle Ventures, Frax, Arca, Infinity Ventures, Cherubic Ventures, Palm Drive Ventures, M31 Capital, Kraynos Capital, and others. This seed funding represents Anzen's total funding to date, as confirmed by the firm's founder, Ben Shyong, who emphasized that there will be no changes to the board of directors following the investment round.

Anzen Finance is at the forefront of revolutionizing stablecoin issuance by providing users with the ability to mint USDz, a stablecoin backed by a diversified portfolio of private credit assets. These real-world assets (RWAs) serve as collateral for USDz, offering stability and reliability to users. Additionally, USDz can be staked across various DeFi protocols, enhancing its utility within the ecosystem.

Currently live on both the Layer 1 Ethereum and Layer 2 network Base, Anzen Finance aims to leverage the fresh funding to expand USDz support across multiple blockchains and protocols. By doing so, the company seeks to offer users diverse opportunities to earn rewards through the token.

Ben Shyong elaborated on the company's plans, stating, "We'll focus on adoption and new use cases for USDz across partner protocols and multiple chains. This means that Anzen users will have plenty of opportunities with many dApps to earn rewards as a USDz holder. For example, on Base, there's a USDz-USDC liquidity pair on Aerodrome where USDz holders can earn Aero incentives."

Aerodome, the leading decentralized exchange on Base and the sixth highest-ranking DEX by total value locked, underscores the growing traction and demand for USDz within the DeFi space.

The market capitalization for RWA-aligned tokens has experienced significant growth, reaching $9.05 billion as of May 27, according to CoinGecko. Ethereum emerges as the preferred chain for RWA tokenization, holding the majority of assets, followed by Tron.
