Apple is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT functionality into iPhones, according to a Bloomberg report published on May 11. This feature is expected to be part of the upcoming iOS 18 update. Additionally, Apple is discussing the possibility of incorporating the Gemini chatbot from Alphabet, Google’s parent company, although these talks are not as advanced as those with OpenAI.

It remains uncertain whether users will have the option to disable ChatGPT features in the new update. Earlier concerns had been raised about Apple limiting the use of ChatGPT by companies due to potential risks to data security.

Recent reports indicate that Apple is stepping up efforts to establish an in-house artificial intelligence (AI) division. On April 30, it was reported that Apple was recruiting experts from Google to build an AI and machine learning team. Additionally, the company has acquired two AI startups in Zurich, Switzerland, leading to the formation of a discrete “Vision Lab” in the region.

During a recent presentation on Apple’s M4 chip for the new iPad, the company mentioned Octane, a 3D design software powered by the Render Network. This announcement caused an 11% increase in Render Token (RNDR), making it the top performer among the top 10 AI tokens over the past week. However, Fetch.ai (FET) declined by 0.77%, and SingularityNET (AGIX) decreased by 0.15% over the same period, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
