In a recent development, the artificial intelligence (AI) company Rabbit has firmly denied the allegations made by YouTube investigator Stephen Findeisen, also known as "Coffeezilla," regarding an alleged non-fungible token (NFT) scam. Coffeezilla had accused Rabbit of facilitating an NFT scam and attempting to conceal it through a rebranding effort from Cyber Manufacture to Rabbit.

According to the reports, on May 22, Coffeezilla alleged that Rabbit's founder and CEO, Jesse Lyu, made numerous promises to supporters of the Gama NFT project but failed to deliver on those promises. Coffeezilla also criticized Rabbit's new Rabbit R1 AI product, likening it to the alleged NFT scam.

In response, a Rabbit spokesperson has asserted that Rabbit and the Gama project were distinct ventures under the same company. The spokesperson claimed that the rebranding from Cyber Manufacture to Rabbit was publicly documented in a 2023 tech media article. Furthermore, they noted that over 80% of Rabbit's current employees joined the company after the rebranding in December 2023.

The Rabbit spokesperson emphasized that the Gama project had concluded and was open-sourced with investor support before the company's shift in focus to AI hardware. They stated, "Jesse strongly disputes Coffeezilla's allegations that he and the Gama team were not forthright about the open-sourcing of the project."

Regarding the Rabbit R1 AI product, the company highlighted that it has been actively receiving user feedback and has implemented updates to address this feedback. They reported that 10,000 users generated over 600,000 interactions with the product in the past thirty days.

Rabbit maintains that Lyu, who has a history as an entrepreneur, was involved in various projects, including Gama, which concluded before the launch of Rabbit. The spokesperson added, "At the end of the day, many companies do pivot."
