Avail, a blockchain infrastructure project, secured $27 million in its initial funding round led by renowned venture capital firms Founders Fund and Dragonfly, as per a statement shared with CryptoSlate on February 26.

The raised funds will drive the advancement of Avail's core products: Data Availability (DA), Nexus, and Fusion, collectively referred to as the "Avail Trinity," aiming to accelerate the integration of web3 networks.

Anurag Arjun, Avail's co-founder, explained that the project aims to establish a cohesive future in Web3 by constructing a unified framework where platforms collaborate rather than operate in isolation.

Arjun stated:

"Rollup tooling will mature to such an extent that deploying an app-specific rollup will be as simple as deploying a smart contract today. With numerous chains in the picture, seamless communication is essential to prevent UX fragmentation."

Last year, Avail emerged as a spin-off from Polygon, Ethereum's leading layer-2 network.

Moreover, Avail prioritizes robust security through Fusion Security, leveraging native assets from established ecosystems like Bitcoin and Ethereum to enhance its platform's security architecture.
