Avail, a blockchain project focusing on data availability (DA), has integrated with five prominent Layer-2 platforms in the Ethereum ecosystem – Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare, and zkSync. This integration aims to address data availability issues and establish efficient chains.

Avail's data availability solutions provide a faster and more cost-effective storage option for "rollup networks" to manage the high volume of transaction data compared to the Ethereum main chain.

Avail gained attention last year for its DA solution that assists blockchains in processing data off-chain. It joined other projects like Celestia, which launched in October, and Eigenlayer’s EigenDA, which went live last week. Avail unveiled Turing on Wednesday, its last testing phase before the mainnet launch, dedicated to verifying deployments, stress testing, and assessing scalability.

Last week, the project released its plan for a 600 million token airdrop, and one of the groups that will be eligible for the AVAIL token are users of these rollups.

In February, Avail announced the upcoming release of two new core products: Nexus, a layer linking various rollups within the Avail ecosystem like Polygon’s AggLayer, and Avail Fusion, which leverages the security of cryptocurrencies like ether (ETH) or bitcoin (BTC) to enhance Avail’s security like EigenLayer.

“DA is more production ready, because DA is going out soon," co-founder of Avail, Anurag Arjun said in an interview with CoinDesk. "Nexus is something we have is still in development. We are working with some of these teams to integrate the Nexus piece more closely."
