The Avalanche Foundation introduces the Avalanche Community Grants Program, aimed at fostering development within the Avalanche ecosystem. In partnership with Gitcoin, the Foundation will allocate funds from the grant in line with community donations, promoting crowdfunding within the ecosystem. Submissions will be accepted starting March 26th, with previous contributors eligible to participate.

The Avalanche Community Grants Program will consist of multiple rounds, each with specific requirements and funding limits. Utilizing the Gitcoin Grants Stack and employing quadratic and retroactive funding, each round aims to maximize the effectiveness of the grant program.

Gitcoin has amassed $4.2 million in donations to date, distributing over $60 million to fund public goods and engaging more than 312,000 builders. Notable projects like 1Inch and Uniswap have benefited from Gitcoin's support.

According to Aytunc Yildzli, CEO of the Avalanche Foundation, partnering with Gitcoin will leverage a proven incentive framework to advance projects and bolster the Avalanche ecosystem. Kyle Weiss, Co-Founder of Gitcoin, believes the collaboration will empower the Avalanche community to manage grant funding and ecosystem growth.

Through the Avalanche Community Grants Program, users in the Avalanche ecosystem will have the opportunity to contribute to projects of their choice. Grantees focusing on public goods software, analytics, education, and other areas will play a crucial role in supporting the Avalanche ecosystem.

In addition to the Community Grants Program, Avalanche has initiatives such as Culture Catalyst, Multiverse, and Avalanche Rush. Community members can vote on disbursements, with higher AVAX matching rewards allocated to projects with strong community support.

Gitcoin's Grants Program has allocated over $60 million to developers, supporting public goods activities in DeFi and beyond. Avalanche is a smart contracts platform known for its rapid transaction finalization and innovative features like the Subnet framework and HyperSDK toolkit, empowering Web3 builders to deliver enhanced and tailored services.
