Data from DeFiLlama reveals a substantial surge in Base's total value locked (TVL), which has escalated by 20% since the commencement of May, now standing at an impressive $1.7 billion.

Base's journey began with its mainnet launch in early August 2023, positioning itself as the third most valuable Layer 2 blockchain in terms of TVL. It trails behind Arbitrum, boasting $3.81 billion, and Blast, commanding $2.26 billion.

This noteworthy feat not only showcases Base's rapid expansion but also highlights its increasing adoption among decentralized applications (dapps), signaling a promising trajectory for its future.
