Bequant, a digital asset services firm, has launched a groundbreaking capital introduction platform for crypto hedge funds and high-networth individuals (HNWIs). This innovative platform marks a significant shift in the company's services, solidifying its commitment to supporting funds in all cycles of asset management.

The platform is designed for crypto hedge funds, asset allocators, and high-networth individuals, offering a prime brokerage service that includes borrowing securities and cash to achieve an absolute return. Bequant's CEO and founder, George Zarya, emphasized the company's goal to leverage its software and network to achieve new milestones in the industry.

Bequant's capital introduction platform has already been used by prominent figures in the industry, including Ron Akram, co-founder and co-managing principal of hedge fund Isla Capital, and Chana Kanzen from the Digital Wealth Fund. Kanzen praised the platform, stating that it has brought together relevant individuals from the traditional finance sector interested in the opportunities offered by the crypto space. Akram was impressed by the platform's ability to connect serious managers and allocators.

The platform's capabilities are impressive, with Bequant having built systems to manage assets across 15 centralised exchanges, more than 30 decentralised exchanges (DEXes), and a dozen-plus OTC liquidity providers. Additionally, the firm uses Fireblocks to allow clients to lock their assets into DeFi smart contracts and access liquidity currently locked in DeFi, valued at over $72.5 billion.
