Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced a series of new measures to combat the misuse of account features on its platform. The company has detected instances where users have exploited certain account types, such as sub-accounts, managed sub-accounts, and fund manager accounts, to gain unfair advantages, like better fee rates and higher API limits.

In response, Binance has enhanced its monitoring systems to detect potential misuse across all account types. The exchange warns that it will investigate suspected incidents and may take action, including account suspension or termination, against those found to be violating the platform's Terms of Use and KYC/KYB policies.

To further strengthen its efforts, Binance is introducing a reward program for users who report verified cases of account misuse. The company has set up a dedicated email address (misuse-reporting@binance.com) for users to submit their findings, and the reward amounts will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

These measures are part of Binance's proactive approach to safeguarding user accounts and maintaining robust security protocols on its platform. By addressing potential vulnerabilities and enhancing its monitoring systems, Binance aims to provide a safe and reliable trading environment for its users.

In addition to these security enhancements, Binance has also announced an important update regarding its operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The exchange has revealed that it has secured a VASP (Virtual Asset Service Provider) license from Dubai's VARA (Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority) and is now transitioning UAE-based user accounts from the Binance global exchange to the Binance FZE exchange.

This transition ensures that Binance's operations in the UAE align with the local regulatory framework set by VARA. Users in the UAE must complete the requested KYC verification and update their accounts by the deadline of December 15, 2024, to continue using Binance's services in the region.

Binance's latest initiatives demonstrate the exchange's commitment to maintaining the integrity of its platform and complying with regulatory requirements in the markets it operates in.
