Binance Labs, the venture capital arm of Binance, has made a strategic investment in Infrared, a protocol that aims to simplify access to Berachain's Proof of Liquidity (PoL) mechanism. This marks Binance Labs' first investment in the Berachain ecosystem.

Infrared focuses on providing liquid staking solutions for Berachain's two key tokens: BGT (the governance token) and BERA (the gas token). By depositing liquidity into Infrared vaults, users can earn iBGT and iBERA, liquid wrappers for BGT and BERA respectively. This allows users to retain the benefits of BGT and BERA while utilizing them across the DeFi ecosystem.

The investment from Binance Labs will support Infrared in strengthening Berachain's infrastructure, ensuring enhanced security, efficiency, and reliability. It will also facilitate the development of a new ecosystem around BGT and iBGT, unlocking new use cases on Berachain.
