Richard Teng, CEO of Binance, has released a statement regarding the prolonged detention of Tigran Gambaryan, an employee of Binance, by Nigerian authorities. Gambaryan, a former U.S. federal agent known for his role in combating global financial crime, has been held for more than 70 days.

Teng expresses deep concern about this situation, emphasizing its impact not only on Binance but also on international business relations worldwide.

After serving ten years as a federal agent dedicated to fighting financial crimes, Tigran Gambaryan joined Binance in 2021.

His responsibilities included strengthening Binance's compliance measures and collaborating with law enforcement agencies around the globe. Despite his significant contributions to global and U.S. law enforcement efforts, Gambaryan was detained in Nigeria under questionable circumstances while on a routine policy discussion visit.
