Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has the power to make or break cryptocurrency prices with its listings. While many tokens have seen significant price increases after being listed on Binance, a recent report reveals that only a handful of tokens have sustained their price growth.

According to the report by cryptocurrency researcher Flow, only 5 out of 31 tokens listed on Binance have managed to maintain their price increase. Interestingly, these tokens - ORDI, JUP, WIF, JTO, and MEME - did not receive support from major venture capital firms and started with lower valuations. They have seen individual price increases of over 50% in the past six months, with ORDI rising by approximately 262%.

On the other hand, tokens supported by venture capital firms have performed poorly, experiencing significant value losses. This includes Binance Labs' NFP token, Pantera Capital-backed OMNI, and tokens from promising projects like Coinbase, Paradigm, and Dragonfly. The report warns that investing in new Binance listings can be risky, with a portfolio investing an equal amount in each new listing experiencing a decline of over 18% in the last six months.

The report suggests that tokens with high fully diluted valuations (FDVs) alongside VC support tend to perform poorly. Newly listed altcoins can see valuations up to $11 billion without strong community support, leading to prolonged losses for hasty investors. The researchers conclude that most tokens listed on Binance are no longer investment vehicles, but rather exit liquidity for insiders taking advantage of individual investors' lack of access to quality early investment opportunities.
