The team behind Binance's cryptocurrency exchange has successfully integrated the Blast network into its Web3 Wallet. In an announcement made on March 4, Binance revealed that its Web3 Wallet now supports Blast, an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution offering built-in yield for Ethereum (ETH) and stablecoins.

With this integration, users of the Binance Web3 Wallet can now transfer tokens to and from the Blast network and access various decentralized applications on the network. To locate and interact with Blast in the Binance Web3 Wallet, users need to navigate to the Web3 Wallet section and select the Networks option.

Binance has not disclosed further details about this integration initiative, and there has been no response from the Blast project team regarding the news.

On Feb. 29, Blast developers announced the official launch of the mainnet. Alongside this launch, users gained the ability to withdraw funds previously locked in the protocol. During the early access phase, over 180,000 users deposited more than $2.3 billion into the protocol, as reported by L2Beat.

Additionally, the Blast project team stated that 50% of the Blast airdrop will be distributed to users, with the remaining 50% allocated to decentralized applications (dapps).

Shortly before the mainnet launch, the Blast ecosystem experienced its first case of fraud involving a highly publicized project. The team behind the gambling platform RiskOnBlast executed a $1.3 million rug pull.
