Willy Woo, a Bitcoin expert, suggests that it might take around 5 to 10 years before Bitcoin can reach the anticipated value based on the stock-to-flow (S2F) model.

Woo mentioned in a tweet that the economic conditions needed for Bitcoin to align with the S2F valuation would require time due to the slow pace at which the world operates.

After Bitcoin's fourth halving, which reduced its inflation rate by 50%, Woo observed that BTC's inflation is now lower than that of gold, its conventional rival in finance. He is curious to see if Bitcoin's market cap will surpass that of gold in line with the S2F model's projections.

Woo believes that it will take a while before Bitcoin can reach its S2F valuation due to the time needed for essential factors like proper custody infrastructure, clear regulations, diverse trading tools, and acceptance from asset managers to be established.

The S2F model's creator, PlanB, is confident that Bitcoin will eventually outshine gold, particularly as its inflation rate decreases post-halving. With a post-halving S2F ratio of 112, PlanB anticipates Bitcoin will exceed gold, whose ratio remains around 60. This ratio demonstrates scarcity by dividing a commodity's circulating supply by its annual production. Bybit, a crypto exchange, indicated that Bitcoin would become twice as scarce as gold after the halving, which would boost its value compared to the precious metal.

PlanB forecasts that Bitcoin could reach $100,000 by the close of the year and $300,000 by the end of 2025, even though the latter figure is on the lower end of the $250,000 to $1,000,000 range. This implies that PlanB believes Bitcoin could have a higher peak during this bullish trend.

Contrary to Woo's perspective, the gold community expressed skepticism. In response, Woo shared data illustrating Bitcoin's annualized returns over four years in comparison to gold and stocks. The results show that Bitcoin yielded returns of 76%, surpassing gold and the S&P 500 stock index, which saw gains of 8.6% and 17% over the same period, respectively.
