The recent surge in BNB's value raises speculation about potential ties between its price increase and the actions undertaken by the cryptocurrency exchange and its executives to counter allegations made by the Nigerian government. Amid heightened scrutiny from Nigeria, authorities have requested the identities and transaction records of the top 100 Nigerian users, as two senior Binance executives remain in Nigerian custody for three weeks. This move by the government underscores its commitment to stabilizing the naira, the national currency, which has been under significant strain due to recent devaluations.

In an attempt to address the unfolding situation, Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan has sought intervention from the Federal High Court in Abuja, urging the Office of the National Security Advisor (NSA) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to issue apologies for his detention and alleged breaches of his fundamental rights. Another top performer in the last 24 hours has been the Celestia network's native token, TIA, gaining attention as a serious competitor to Ethereum. The TIA token has seen a notable 9.2% increase in value today, currently trading at $15.15, highlighting the growing interest in Celestia's offerings as an emerging Layer-1 network.
